Temporary redirection hurt site ranking? Recently launched a new cool website for providing headers/banners. To increase the traffic, I temporarily redirected my Old website (as it was getting around 7000 unique visitors a month). The new website received lots of visitors and within 3-4 days more than 200 users registered in the site. Now, I removed the redirection code (307) as the ranking of the old website got hurt in google.com. The ranking of the old site is good in msn and yahoo. The keywords were “blog headers”, “free blog headers”, “free website headers”, “website headers”, “custom website headers”. The rank for old web site went from page 1 to page 2 or so because of this action. So it is 3 days that google waits to see or gives time for a website to be up and running again? This shows how important it is to bring up a site...
